This song is very special to me in that it was one of my first songs penned mid-pandemic, that felt I was returning to some measure of “normal”, rather than fixed on the heavy intensity of the days.
It has a personal depth and story but in a hopeful voice. It was the first one I recorded for this project.

a sense of home even when we put up a fight

hooves aflutter

winter slowly swims away

set our worries
on the shelf
fade our bitter side
til we need not remember

and delight of summer rain

shining light across the sea
salt spray ... cloaking every wave
twirling bonfire luminesce
