i wrote this song in the hours after 911. I was to fly to a gig in Walla Walla, WA but had to drive my old VW since all flights were cancelled. I remember the scent of warm basil and wine grapes growing along the way, sweet aroma on the wind, in sharp contrast to the world so broken.
